Workshops
ENVISION’s main objective is to provide a collaborative platform for sharing environmental models and services. Its corresponding pilot cases are used to test the benefits of the technologies developed in the project, but also to prove the usefulness of the platform in real situations and adjust it according to potential users’ necessities.
ENVISION community collaboration is defined through several workshops aimed at presenting the capabilities of the ENVISION platform to be used by non-ICT skilled users as decision support system for various environmental hazards management.

End-users Workshop M26 (13-14th of March 2012)
This workshop is aimed at validating the technologies developed during the project, ensuring an initial feedback and preparing follow-up activities with end users. The focus will be on the need of collaboration between different organizations to exchange real-time information and the capabilities of DataGateway integrated in the ENVISION platform to perform real time data exchanges between heterogeneous systems like third party SCADA or public networks of sensors. The real needs of these organizations will be explored.
The general purpose of this workshop is to introduce the pilot case on real-time monitoring of floods evolutions in a trans-boundary context, to present the ENVISION platform and technologies and their use in the pilot case, collect feedback, comments, and remarks from experts and potential end-users and identify possibilities for future collaborations. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the capabilities of the ENVISION platform in providing an end-user friendly Web-based platform for end-user communities working in a trans-boundary context, helping them to create and exploit together environmental applications and exchange real-time environmental data from heterogeneous sources, including third-party SCADA systems.
The agenda of this workshop is available here. This is an invitation only workshop.
An introductory presentation of the ENVISION project is available here.
